At Illuminate You – Learning for Life Lodge, we believe education should ignite potential, nurture resilience, and heal through connection. We provide a safe, flexible, and nurturing learning environment for young people aged 14 to 16, particularly those who have experienced exclusion, trauma, or disrupted educational journeys. Our approach is grounded in love-led, trauma-informed practice, where relationships are the foundation of all learning. Every student is welcomed, seen, and celebrated for who they are — not just where they’ve come from. We use the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) model across our team, ensuring that each interaction is supportive, emotionally attuned, and respectful of each young person's needs. We offer bespoke education packages tailored to individual abilities, interests, and goals. Our curriculum blends academic learning, emotional regulation, life skills, and therapeutic support, helping students develop the tools they need to thrive both in and beyond the classroom. Our Offer Includes: Academic learning through AQA Unit Award Scheme and Functional Skills, with a focus on Maths, English, Science, PSHE, and ICT Life skills education including budgeting, cooking, personal hygiene, travel training, and employability Access to therapeutic support such as CBT, music therapy, emotional regulation sessions, and well-being groups Vocational and hands-on learning opportunities including horticulture, animal care, mechanics, and creative arts Small group and 1:1 learning environments to reduce anxiety, increase engagement, and build confidence Personalised timetables and a flexible, student-led approach to promote autonomy and self-belief Consistent use of trauma-informed practice throughout the day to create emotional safety Our staff team includes qualified tutors, therapists, youth workers, and vocational specialists who bring warmth, structure, and deep understanding to their work. Together, we walk alongside each young person, empowering them to re-engage with learning at a pace that feels safe and achievable.
