At Illuminate Care Group, we provide a comprehensive range of trauma-informed services designed to support children and young people aged 8 to 18 through safe, nurturing, and structured environments. Everything we do is guided by love, connection, and empowerment, helping every young person build the confidence and skills they need to thrive.

🌟 Residential Children’s Homes (Ages 8–18)

Our Ofsted-regulated children’s homes offer stable, therapeutic environments for children and young people with complex needs. With fully TCI-trained staff, structured routines, and consistent care, we provide a safe space where young people can heal, grow, and feel a true sense of belonging.

🏠 Supported Accommodation (Ages 16–18)

Our supported accommodation offers a stepping stone to independence, combining 24/7 staff support with bespoke care packages. We work closely with each young person to develop life skills, build emotional resilience, and prepare for adulthood — all within a safe, empowering, and love-led environment.

🎓 Education Provision – Illuminate You

Illuminate You – Learning for Life Lodge and the hideaway are our therapeutic education service for students aged 14–16 who have been excluded or disengaged from mainstream education. We deliver a flexible, student-led curriculum focused on academic progress, emotional well-being, and life skills, with access to therapy and vocational training. Our trauma-informed team nurtures each student’s confidence, helping them find their voice and their future.

Supported Accommodation

At Illuminate Care, our supported accommodation for young people aged 16–18 is more than just a place to stay — it’s a nurturing, love-led environment where each young person is seen, heard, and valued. We create homes where natural interactions and meaningful relationships foster a deep sense of belonging, trust, and safety.

Our approach is grounded in compassion, structure, and consistency, underpinned by the Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) model, ensuring all staff are trained to respond with empathy, understanding, and skill in every situation. This promotes emotional regulation and strengthens each young person’s ability to navigate life’s challenges.

We work closely with the young person, their families, and professionals to build a bespoke support package that reflects their unique needs, strengths, goals, and cultural background. Whether they need intensive emotional support, help with education or employment pathways, or practical life skills development, we adapt our services to meet them where they are — and help them move forward with confidence.

Our day-to-day interactions are intentionally natural and nurturing — whether it’s sharing meals, doing laundry together, supporting with budgeting, or simply chatting about their day. These everyday moments form the foundation of healthy attachment, emotional healing, and growing independence.

We provide:

  • 24/7 onsite staffing with consistent, trusted adults

  • TCI-trained staff to ensure trauma-informed, de-escalation-focused support

  • Individualised independence and transition plans

  • Family liaison and support, maintaining and restoring key relationships where appropriate

  • Access to education, training, and therapy through internal and external professionals

  • A focus on life skills, community integration, and emotional resilience

Our homes are safe, welcoming, and inclusive – real homes, not units – where young people can experience stability, make mistakes without judgement, and feel genuinely cared for.

At Illuminate Care, we believe in the power of love-led practice. We don’t just support transitions — we walk alongside young people as they prepare for adulthood, offering them the stability, respect, and belief they deserve

Children's Residential Services

At Illuminate Care, our residential services provide safe, stable, and nurturing homes for children and young people aged 8 to 18 who have experienced disruption, trauma, or loss. We don’t just offer a place to live — we offer a place to heal, grow, and thrive.

Each of our homes is grounded in love-led, trauma-informed practice, where relationships come first. We build consistent, trusting connections through natural, everyday interactions, supporting young people to rebuild their sense of self, security, and belonging. From shared meals and bedtime routines to birthday celebrations and quiet conversations, our care is intentional, respectful, and heartfelt.

All of our residential care staff are fully trained in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI), equipping them with the skills to respond to challenging behaviour with empathy, patience, and therapeutic understanding. This ensures every child feels emotionally and physically safe, even in moments of distress.

We create individualised, child-centred care plans that reflect each young person's unique experiences, identity, and aspirations. Our team works in close partnership with social workers, families, therapists, educators, and other professionals to provide joined-up, wraparound support that meets each child exactly where they are.

Our homes focus on:

  • Emotional healing through consistent, relational care

  • Stable routines and structure to foster safety and predictability

  • Family work and contact support, where appropriate and safe

  • Life skills development, preparing young people for future independence

  • Therapeutic input, including access to counselling, creative therapies, and emotional regulation work

  • Education and achievement, with dedicated support for reintegration or alternative provision

  • Cultural, identity, and SEN awareness, ensuring inclusive and respectful care for all

We know that every young person in our care carries a story — and we are privileged to walk alongside them in their next chapter. Whether a child is with us for a few months or for the long term, we aim to provide them with unconditional positive regard, high aspiration, and a deep-rooted sense of being cared for and about.

At Illuminate Care, our homes are built on the belief that love, trust, and consistency can transform lives. Our residential services are not just about managing behaviours — they’re about restoring hope, building confidence, and lighting the way forward.
